01 The Problem

Why this needed to be built.

OneNext is a Chrome New Tab experience that uses Notion as the source of truth and helps the user decide what to focus on next. Instead of presenting a large task list, it surfaces one recommended task and a small number of alternatives, then supports a focused work session.

A large task database can create decision friction and task switching at the moment work should begin. Notion is useful for planning, but the execution moment can become visually and cognitively heavy.
02 The Solution

Approach and execution.

Designed a calm execution layer on top of Notion. The product reduces the number of visible choices, supports a focus session, and records real work time back into Notion.
